MASHA & MITCH VOROBETS, TREATMENT

We renewed our vows. We plugged into the church again and now we are completely new people. God didn’t just make our marriage better. It felt like this was a completely new marriage.

Testimony.

I got married at 17 and my husband was 23. We didn’t do any premarital counseling. Our first year in marriage was hard for us, we couldn’t get intimate during that year. So we started to believe lies about each other, and had no guidance through all of this. For 9 years of our marriage, it was up and down and our communication was non-existent, we lived a life of two singles under one roof.

I started to get emotionally attached to another man and at that point I knew it was wrong, but I didn’t know how to go through it. One evening my husband sat me down and opened up to all of the marital affairs he had been having. In my mind this was the perfect way out of my marriage as far as a biblical divorce. The morning before I was filing for divorce my dad came to my home. He had talked with my husband the night before. Even though I was angry at my husband It felt like the lord was speaking to me through my dad. My husband comes into the home wanting to restore our marriage.

He cried while washing my dishes. In that moment the lord told me you don’t have to trust him or love him but just love me. Little by little things we began to do things together and started to attend church services. During a service a 12 year old girl came up to us with a prophecy, she told us she saw a breakthrough over me and my husband. We stayed there at church for hours crying. In a moment everything shifted and we finally began to see the lord in each other.

We began inviting people to our home for worship nights. The community we built in that season made our relationship healing so much easier. My cry to the lord has always been I want this marriage to work out but I didn’t want in 10 years for us to still be working on it. Our love started to build and our trust came back. We renewed our vows. We plugged into church again and now we are completely different people. He didn’t just make our marriage better but it was a completely new marriage.

Look & Feel.

To create an intimate and powerful testimony the story is primarily visualized through select scenes that will be captured as well as using any past photos relating to the story. In each of the scenes the camera remains locked meant to signify the strength of the testimony. The visual language of the film will use natural lighting and center framing. Capturing the abstract is important to help visualize the story with and without God & the change that’s been made, the same scenes with and without talent. Recording on location audio will be vital to create an ambient undertone.

Home. The Interview.

This is where both interviews takes place. Warm tones with the sun piercing through. A Two camera interview setup with middle framing and high angle offset with little framing in front of the face.

After the interview capture small details, back of the face, defocusing from talent to background, hands on the chair, little moments to cut into during the film.

HOME & GARDEN

Capturing exterior and interior details of the home. This will be good to cut around the fact that although Masha & Mitch lived in the same home, the home is empty and quiet. Shot of a picture frame that's missing.

Capture kids out in the garden and/or just playing outside. Capturing some scenes through the windows of the home looking out toward the kids. Capture a scene of Masha looking out the window contemplating.

Home portrait. Capturing both the front and back. and details such as putting a hand on the shoulder.

Mitch washing dishes or doing other work around the home will be used to visualize his return to the home.

Shot Of Mitch & Masha Busy In The Same Room But Separate.

DINNER, RECONCILIATION

The dinner scene is primarily symbolizing the family is back together and stronger than ever.

Start with a sequence of mom and kids prepping dinner.

Include a scene where everyone is at the table aside from Mitch for a beat and eventually he comes down to take a seat.

The family prays over dinner and bonds throughout the meal.

Haircut scene if there is time.
